He graduated from the School of Medicine at Zhejiang Medical University in 1982. From 1986 to 1988, he was sent by the Chinese government to the United States for further study, serving as a visiting scholar at Mercer University School of Medicine and Emory University School of Medicine. In 1989, he received a master’s degree from Zhejiang Medical University. In 1991, he served as an assistant professor at the University of West Virginia School of Medicine. He currently serves as Director of the Cardiology Center, Director of the Department of Cardiology, and Director of the Cardiac Interventional Center at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, as well as Chair of the Cardiovascular Teaching Committee at the School of Medicine, Zhejiang University. He has made significant contributions to the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease and complex cardiovascular diseases, and is a renowned expert in China, particularly in the field of interventional treatment for coronary heart disease.
