A delegation from The Fourth Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine(ZJU4H) & International School of Medicine, Zhejiang University(ZJUISM) visited Kazakhstan from September 2 to 4, conducting in-depth exchanges and forging cooperation with local medical and educational institutions.

The delegation held talks with Kazakh National Medical University, Nazarbayev University and its Medical Center, Almaty Central City Clinical Hospital, and Bilim Innovation International Social Foundation, reaching initial cooperation consensus in areas such as hospital management, talent training, and scientific research. It also signed a cooperation agreement with Bilim Innovation International Social Foundation to provide enrollment quotas and scholarships for Kazakh students, building a “green channel” for medical talent exchanges.

Prof. Wang Kai, Chairman of the two institutions, described the visit as a “journey of friendship and a promise of cooperation”, noting that it strengthened confidence in serving the construction of the “Healthy Silk Road”.
The visit is part of Zhejiang University’s efforts to implement the Belt & Road Initiative. The university will further deepen cooperation with Kazakhstan in high-level medical talent training, cross-border telemedicine and joint scientific research in the future.
