On October 16, Joshua Alabi—Member of Ghana’s Parliament, Presidential Chief Economic Advisor and Board Chairman of GCB — led a delegation to the Fourth Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (ZJU4H) for exchanges, marking a practical interaction of China-Ghana friendship in medical field amid the 65th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.

Accompanied by ZJU4H President Wu Liming, the delegation toured key departments including the International Medical Department, learning about the hospital’s modern facilities, intelligent management and international services. Impressed by ZJU4H serving more than 26,000 foreign patients from 185 countries/regions and having direct billing with 22 global insurers annually, Joshua Alabi praised it as a “truly international medical harbor” in Yiwu, the “world supermarket”.

At the subsequent symposium, both sides discussed medical cooperation and talent-technology exchanges. ZJU4H Vice President Zhou Wei introduced its cooperation with world-class institutions and medical technology export, while Joshua Alabi expressed Ghana’s urgent need for advanced public health technologies and looked forward to deepening cooperation in clinical collaboration and personnel training.

ZJU4H stated it will continue to promote medical cooperation with Ghana and other countries, contributing to a global community of health for all and China-Africa friendship.
