The Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine is a plastic and aesthetic surgery institution affiliated with Zhejiang University. Located on the second floor of Building 8, Block A (new location), it is positioned as a key specialty department of a hospital affiliated with a “first-class university” and focuses on development in four major areas: medical care, teaching, research, and team building. The department comprises a Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Outpatient Clinic, a Laser Aesthetic Clinic, and a Facial Rejuvenation Treatment Center. It also offers specialized clinics for conditions such as axillary osmidrosis, superficial skin lesions, scar revision, intimate plastic surgery, and injectable aesthetics, as well as emergency cosmetic suturing services. The department is designated as a “Jinhua Municipal Key Specialty” development unit. Since its establishment in April 2015, our department has earned the trust of numerous patients and those seeking aesthetic enhancements, resulting in a rapid increase in patient volume. Currently, we handle over 40,000 outpatient and emergency visits annually. The department boasts a dynamic team of plastic and aesthetic medicine professionals, including 3 senior specialists, 5 attending physicians, 4 resident physicians (among whom 3 hold MDs and 9 hold MS degrees), 12 nurses and medical assistants, and 9 graduate students in training.

Services:

(I) Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery

1. Excision and cosmetic reconstruction of benign and malignant tumors on the skin (especially the face): Our department has extensive clinical experience in treating conditions such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma, fibrosarcoma, verrucous nevi, pigmented nevi, cysts, and lipomas.

2. Precision Facial Plastic Surgery: Double eyelid surgery, canthoplasty, lower eyelid bag correction, rhinoplasty, comprehensive nasal tip and alar reshaping, wrinkle removal, chin augmentation, lip reshaping, facial liposuction, and filling of facial depressions such as the temples.

3. Breast Aesthetic Surgery: Correction of inverted nipples, nipple-areola reduction, breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, treatment of benign breast tumors, removal of breast implants, removal of accessory breasts, and minimally invasive liposuction for gynecomastia (a specialty of our department).

4. Body Contouring: Liposuction and fat grafting for the face, abdomen, back, waist, buttocks, and limbs; minimally invasive liposuction for the nuchal fold (a specialty of our department).
