The Department of Plastic Surgery at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine is a public welfare plastic surgery institution affiliated with Zhejiang University. It is recognized as a key clinical specialty unit in Zhejiang Province. The department comprises 12 physicians (including 3 with MD degrees and 9 with Master's degrees in Medicine), along with 11 nurses and medical assistants. It receives about 45,000 outpatient visits annually and performs approximately 1,200 surgeries each year. The department also serves as a rotation site for the national standardized residency training program. In the 2023 STEM rankings, it was placed 86th nationwide. To date, it has secured funding for two projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and one from the Provincial Key Research and Development Program (Lingyan Project). The department supervises six postgraduate students and has published nine SCI-indexed papers over the past five years.

Emergency aesthetic suturing is also available.
The department is equipped with the largest and most advanced collection of internationally leading photoelectric devices in central Zhejiang, supporting strong clinical capabilities. It is the highest-volume center for injectable aesthetic procedures in the region and has developed a mature, standardized injection protocol.
Notable surgical procedures performed include superficial organ reconstruction, complex wound repair, minimally invasive surgery for axillary osmidrosis, minimally invasive liposuction for gynecomastia and dorsocervical fat pads, eyelid cosmetic surgeries (such as double eyelid creation and both internal and external incision blepharoplasty), and labia minora hypertrophy correction using flap techniques.
