Our hospital’s Breast Surgery Department is a founding member of the “China Breast Reconstruction Surgery Alliance,” a member of the Zhejiang Province Multidisciplinary Comprehensive Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Network Platform, and a member of the Zhejiang Province Breast Cancer Professional Committee of the China Cancer Prevention and Control Alliance (UCOM). The department’s team currently consists of five physicians, all of whom hold master’s degrees or higher, including one chief physician and two associate chief physicians. Our core physicians have all undergone advanced training at renowned medical centers both domestically and internationally. The department maintains long-term close collaborations with Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Xinhua Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine.

Scope of Services

1. Benign Breast Diseases: Fibroadenomas, intraductal papillomas, lactational cysts, etc.

2. Malignant Breast Tumors: Early diagnosis and personalized comprehensive treatment of breast cancer; radical mastectomy for non-seminomatous (NSM) breast cancer combined with immediate pedicled latissimus dorsi muscle (LDM) flap breast reconstruction (with over 1,000 cases of experience); Radical mastectomy followed by immediate or delayed breast reconstruction with implants; radical mastectomy followed by immediate or delayed breast reconstruction using the TRAM flap; radical mastectomy followed by immediate or delayed breast reconstruction using the DIEP flap; oncoplastic breast-conserving surgery for breast cancer.

3. Specialized Conditions: Refractory locally advanced breast cancer, plasma cell mastitis, gynecomastia, and breast reduction surgery for macromastia

4. Core Technologies: Routinely performs ultrasound-guided minimally invasive rotary core needle biopsy of breast masses, segmental mastectomy, lumpectomy, modified radical mastectomy, breast-conserving radical mastectomy, and sentinel lymph node biopsy; simultaneously specializes in breast oncoplastic surgery techniques, including immediate/delayed breast reconstruction following breast cancer surgery and laparoscopic surgery for gynecomastia.

5. Comprehensive Treatment: Building on precise surgical techniques, we tailor systemic treatment plans for breast cancer patients, including neoadjuvant chemotherapy, adjuvant chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, and targeted therapy. The department has established a routine multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaboration mechanism with the Oncology, Radiology, Ultrasound, and Pathology departments, conducting regular multidisciplinary consultations to improve patients’ long-term survival rates and quality of life.
