The Department of Cardiology at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine was established in 2014. Committed to alleviating cardiovascular diseases among the people of Central Zhejiang and promoting regional academic development, the department has worked tirelessly and strived for excellence. After several years of dedicated effort, it has become an influential center for cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment in Central Zhejiang. It is a designated National Chest Pain Center, Heart Failure Center, Atrial Fibrillation Center, and Hypertension Center, as well as a doctoral and master’s degree-granting institution under the Belt and Road International Medical College. a Key Medical Specialty in Jinhua City, and the Yiwu City Cardiac Intervention Quality Control Center. The department currently operates two wards with 91 beds and treats over 5,000 patients annually. It boasts an outstanding team of professionals, with 100% of the department’s staff holding master’s degrees or higher; the vast majority graduated from prestigious “211 Project” universities, and several key members have studied abroad. The department currently employs 22 physicians, including 6 chief physicians, 4 associate chief physicians, 3 doctoral advisors, and 3 master’s advisors. It is currently undertaking 5 national and Zhejiang provincial research projects with a total budget exceeding 1 million yuan. The department hosts 1–2 national or provincial academic conferences annually and has published over 20 papers in international core journals in the past three years.
