As the Department of Pediatrics of a tertiary hospital, we provide comprehensive medical care, health assessment and disease prevention services for children and adolescents from birth to 14 years of age. Our department integrates outpatient, inpatient and neonatal care, with particular strengths in pediatric gastroenterology, neonatology and pediatric respiratory medicine. We have also established subspecialty services in pediatric neurology and child growth and development.Through multidisciplinary collaboration, advanced diagnostic techniques and individualized treatment, we are committed to the early identification and effective management of pediatric diseases and to promoting the physical and mental well-being of children.

Service Scope

1. Pediatric Gastroenterology: Diagnosis and treatment of vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, gastrointestinal bleeding, jaundice, liver function impairment and malnutrition. Specialized in acute and chronic diarrhea, Helicobacter pylori infection, gastrointestinal food allergy, inflammatory bowel disease, disorders of gut-brain interaction, inherited metabolic liver diseases and nutrition-related disorders. Pediatric upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy is available for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

2. Pediatric Respiratory Medicine: Diagnosis and treatment of respiratory tract infections, bronchopneumonia, chronic cough, recurrent wheezing and bronchial asthma. Pediatric bronchoscopy is available for the diagnosis and treatment of airway and pulmonary diseases.

3. Neonatology: Specialized care for premature, low-birth-weight and high-risk newborns, including neonatal jaundice, respiratory distress, feeding difficulties, neonatal infections and other common or critical neonatal conditions.

4. Pediatric Neurology: Standardized diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, central nervous system infections, febrile seizures, migraine, tic disorders and other neurological conditions in children.

5. Child Growth and Development: Assessment and management of short stature, growth faltering, childhood obesity, precocious or delayed puberty, developmental delay, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and other growth or developmental concerns.

6. Pediatric Cardiovascular Diseases: Diagnosis and management of arrhythmias, heart failure, cardiomyopathy and Kawasaki disease.

7. Pediatric Infectious Diseases: Management of cytomegalovirus infection, infectious mononucleosis, influenza, enterovirus infection and other common pediatric infectious diseases.

8. Pediatric Hematology: Standardized care for childhood anemia, immune thrombocytopenia, hemophilia and other common hematological disorders.
