The Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University has been providing health examination services since 2015 and established the Health Management Center in 2019. In August 2021, in response to business development needs, it was officially renamed the International Health Care Center (Health Management Center), hereinafter referred to as the International Health Care Center. It is a health and medical service center that integrates medical care and health management, established to meet the high-level health and medical needs of both domestic and international individuals through the development of health management disciplines. The International Health Center is part of the clinical departments of Zhejiang University Fourth Hospital and primarily provides health management services to organizations and individuals in the Jinyi region and central-western Zhejiang. Based on its functional structure, the center comprises the Health Examination Services Department, the Health Management Quality Control Department, the Follow-up Department, and the Business Management Department, offering one-stop, end-to-end, and precise health management services to better meet the needs of its clients.

Leveraging the research and academic platforms of the Fourth Clinical Medical College of Zhejiang University School of Medicine and the Zhejiang University International Institute of Health Medicine, the Health Management discipline has continuously strengthened its capabilities and made significant progress in recent years. Its applied research focuses on population health risk factor detection and assessment, health intervention methods and approaches, health management service models and implementation pathways, as well as indicator systems and evaluation standards. The National Health Protection Center has consistently advocated the work philosophy of “achieving full-lifecycle health management based on the medicine of healthy lifestyles” and possesses a medical technical service team composed of multidisciplinary clinical professionals and health management staff.

Leveraging the robust medical expertise and advanced healthcare equipment of Zhejiang University Fourth Hospital, the National Health Protection Center provides precision health management services—including general practice, preventive care, and VIP specialized medical services—based on the 5P medical model: Prevention, Prediction, Personalization, Participation, and Precision.
