Currently, the department routinely performs various X-ray examinations, gastrointestinal contrast studies, MRI, and CT scans. It also conducts a wide range of interventional diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both vascular and non-vascular conditions and maintains a dedicated interventional ward of considerable scale. The Radiology Department is equipped with a comprehensive PACS system, enabling paperless, filmless, and cloud-based imaging, and provides comprehensive imaging and diagnostic services to patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The department serves up to 600,000 patients annually.
The Department of Radiology boasts a highly educated, well-structured, and highly promising team of professionals. It currently employs 110 staff members, including medical radiologists, radiologic technologists, nurses, and support staff. Among them, 13 hold senior professional titles (4 Chief Physicians, 7 Associate Chief Physicians, and 2 Senior Engineers), and over 75% of diagnostic radiologists hold master’s degrees or higher. The department has established multiple subspecialty groups, including thoracic, abdominal, neuro-head and neck, musculoskeletal, and interventional radiology, and has earned a strong reputation for its extensive clinical experience in diagnostic imaging and interventional treatments.
The department has fostered a culture of diligent study and dedicated professional development, resulting in continuously improving diagnostic standards and a diagnostic accuracy rate consistently maintained above 95%. The department has also achieved significant success in research, having led or participated in more than ten national, provincial, and departmental-level research projects over the past three years, and published over 40 papers in SCI-indexed and Chinese journals. Additionally, the department is responsible for teaching Zhejiang University graduate students, supervising undergraduate internships, and overseeing the training of residents and visiting scholars, having mentored numerous master’s degree candidates.
