The Department of Nuclear Medicine, the Fourth Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, is a specialized department integrating molecular imaging diagnosis and functional imaging. Equipped with the world’s most advanced fully digital PET/CT (GE Discovery Max) and advanced SPECT/CT (GE Discovery NM 860), the department is committed to building a first-class nuclear medicine molecular imaging diagnostic center in Central Zhejiang.
The department routinely performs 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging for early diagnosis of malignant tumors, clinical staging, treatment response assessment, monitoring of recurrence and metastasis, and detection of metastatic tumors of unknown primary origin. It enables early detection of lung cancer, lymphoma, colorectal cancer, and other tumors and their metastases. Novel targeted molecular probe imaging includes PSMA-PET/CT imaging for precise detection of primary and metastatic prostate cancer; Aβ-PET imaging for evaluation of Alzheimer’s disease and other cognitive disorders; and CIT-PET imaging for evaluation of Parkinson’s disease and Parkinsonian syndromes.
SPECT/CT examinations include whole-body bone imaging, renal dynamic imaging, myocardial perfusion imaging, thyroid imaging, salivary gland imaging, and parathyroid imaging.
