The Department of Pathology at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine was established in 2014 and serves as the host institution for the Yiwu Pathology Quality Control Center. The department currently has a total of 33 staff members, including 16 pathologists (1 Chief Physician, 3 Associate Chief Physicians, 6 Attending Physicians, 6 Residents, and 1 intern on rotation in Hangzhou), 14 pathology technicians (1 Associate Chief Technician, 5 Senior Technicians, 5 Junior Technicians, and 3 Technicians), and 3 pathology support staff. The department currently offers routine histopathological examinations, cytopathological diagnosis, intraoperative frozen section rapid diagnosis, pathological consultations, and remote pathological consultations. It also provides auxiliary diagnostic techniques such as immunohistochemistry, special staining, and molecular pathology testing, making it the department with the most comprehensive range of pathological testing services in the central Zhejiang region.
