The Department of Electrocardiography (ECG) is an indispensable clinical support department dedicated to non-invasive cardiac examinations. It provides essential diagnostic evidence for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Our Services

The department offers a comprehensive range of cardiac diagnostic tests, including:

· Resting 12-lead Electrocardiogram (ECG): A routine, non-invasive test that records the heart's electrical activity. It records the electrical activity of the heart from 12 different spatial leads over a short period (usually 10 seconds) while the patient lies quietly in a supine position.

· Ambulatory ECG (Holter Monitoring): Continuous recording of heart rhythms, typically over 24 to 120 hours, to detect intermittent arrhythmias.

Advantages：

· Captures transient, infrequent, or sleep‑related arrhythmias that may be missed by resting or exercise ECGs.

· Provides correlation between symptoms and cardiac rhythm disturbances.

· Allows assessment of heart rate variability and circadian patterns.

·Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM): Monitors blood pressure over 24 hours to identify hypertension and assess treatment efficacy.

·Exercise Stress Testing (Treadmill Test): Evaluates the heart's response to physical stress.

It can reveal reduced blood flow to the heart muscle (ischemia) caused by narrowed or blocked coronary arteries.

It helps find the cause of unexplained symptoms like chest pain (angina), shortness of breath, dizziness, or palpitations that occur during activity.

It assesses the effectiveness of treatments (e.g., medications, angioplasty, bypass surgery), evaluates a patient's functional capacity, and helps in risk stratification and prognosis for conditions like CAD.
