General Practice
The Department of General Practice is composed of a high-quality medical team consisting of senior experts, mid-career and young leading physicians, specialized nurses, and health managers. It is currently a national standardized residency training base for general practice and a designated key discipline of Jinhua City. The department has established long-term cooperation with the University of Alberta, Canada, on the General Practitioner Training Program.Operating under the innovative "trinity hub" model, it implements a distinct "ZJU4H-characterized" training system for general practitioners from both domestic and international backgrounds, aiming to cultivate high-caliber general practice talents. The department also serves as a bridge connecting hospital care, community health services, and primary medical care, thereby promoting the hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system.
Specialty Highlights
1. Diagnosis and treatment of common and prevalent diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and hyperlipidemia.
2. Management of patients with undifferentiated health problems or uncertain specialty attribution, particularly first-visit patients.
3. Care for patients with multiple chronic comorbidities, excluding those with severe complications requiring specialized interventions.
4. Health management during early disease stages and convalescence; assessment and interventional therapy for risk factors of metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases.
5. Provision of routine health examinations, health counseling, and health risk evaluation, as well as further diagnostic workup and intervention for individuals with abnormal screening findings.
