The Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine is an accredited Minimally Invasive Thoracic Oncology Center and Esophageal Cancer Center for Central Zhejiang. It is a Zhejiang Provincial Key Clinical Specialty under constructio, with leading comprehensive strength in Zhejiang Province andadvanced clinical capabilities domestically. The department performs nearly 1, 500 surgical procedures annually. Adhering to the core philosophy of “minimally invasive, precise, individualized and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS)”, it routinely conducts uniportal thoracoscopic segmentectomy, subsegmentectomy and combined subsegmentectomy, subxiphoid minimally invasive resection of mediastinal tumors, Da Vinci robotic assisted thoracoscopic minimally invasive surgery, and total thoracoscopic radical esophagectomy. Supported by dedicated cardiopulmonary bypass and specialized intensive care teams, comprehensive care is guaranteed for critically ill patients.
